Job Description



Provide operational and engineering support for existing gas gathering systems, including pipelines and compressor stations. Engineer, design, and implement small to large capital projects on gas gathering system by evaluating current system limits and future requirements.

Responsibilities




  • Responsible for the design, operations, and maintenance of gas gathering pipelines, gas compressor stations, and gas treating facilities.

  • Gas system improvement/expansion projects – participate on a team responsible for scope definition, engineering design, budgeting, AFE preparation, project management, vendor selection and management, and coordination with field superintendent and construction contractors.

  • Monitor day-to-day operations and work with operations staff to optimize gas compression, utility consumption, chemical consumption, and maintenance activities to increase gas gathering system revenue and reduce operating expenses.

  • Work with management team to develop annual gas gathering system operating budget and track operating expenses. Participate in monthly operating expenditure accrual meetings. Review and approve vendor invoices. Maintain an in depth understanding of all gas gathering system operating expenses and forecast future expenditures.

  • Engineering documentation – work with engineering team and contractors to maintain “as built” facility drawings, process safety information, data books, and operating manuals.

  • Maintenance planning – work with operations and maintenance staff on maintenance planning, budgeting, and tracking. Development of maintenance budget and schedule.

  • Environmental Compliance – work with engineering and environmental team to ensure environmental permit compliance. Data gathering and analysis.
