Why This Job Is a Big Deal!

The Project Controller – Manager plays a critical role in ensuring financial discipline, accuracy, and transparency across OTG’s development pipeline. This role is responsible for project accounting and financial oversight of all current and future construction and development projects, partnering closely with Development, Construction, and Finance teams.

This is a highly hands‑on role ideal for a detail‑oriented project accounting professional with deep knowledge of the construction process and strong experience using Procore. You’ll help ensure projects stay on budget, risks are identified early, and financial data is accurate, timely, and decision‑ready as OTG continues to expand its footprint.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Own project‑level accounting and financial management for all active and future development and construction projects
  • Track project budgets, commitments, forecasts, and actuals, ensuring accuracy and alignment with approved plans
  • Manage job cost reporting, change orders, draw schedules, and variance analysis
  • Serve as the primary finance partner to Development and Construction teams, providing clear financial visibility throughout the project lifecycle
  • Lead and support the use of Procore Construction Software, including system setup, implementation, and ongoing optimization
  • Ensure proper documentation, cost controls, and internal controls are in place across projects
  • Prepare detailed financial reporting for leadership, highlighting risks, trends, and recommendations
  • Support audits and ensure compliance with accounting policies, contractual requirements, and best practices
  • Continuously improve project accounting processes to support scalable growth

Qualifications/Criteria:

  • 6+ years of experience in project accounting or project controls within construction or real estate development
  • Hands‑on experience using Procore Construction Software; experience helping implement or optimize Procore strongly preferred
  • Proven understanding of the full construction lifecycle, including budgeting, cost tracking, change management, and close‑out
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Experience partnering with Development and Construction leaders in fast‑paced environments
  • Background at large construction or development firms is highly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Construction Management, or a related field
