Description
Step Into Leadership. Shape Community Health.
At Outer Cape Health Services (OCHS), we believe health care is about more than medicine, it’s about people, purpose, and place. For nearly 40 years, we’ve been a lifeline for the ten outermost towns of Cape Cod. The OCHS team cares for more than 20,000 patients annually. What sets us apart from other providers is that we never turn anyone away. We hold ourselves to the highest standards of clinical quality. We're one community.
Now, we’re seeking a Medical Director who’s ready to bring vision, leadership, and heart to one of the most rewarding health care roles in New England.
What This Role Offers You
This isn’t a position where you’ll sit behind a desk. As our Medical Director, you’ll balance strategic leadership with hands-on clinical care. You’ll lead a talented, mission-driven team while keeping a real connection to patients through direct care (6 clinical sessions per week).
You’ll be at the heart of shaping health care through clinical excellence, mentoring staff, and collaborating on innovative ways to improve access, equity, and quality of care.
Why This Role Matters
This is more than a leadership title. As our Medical Director, you'll drive change and will have a tangible impact on the local community and our patients.
We need leaders committed to excellence. We need you.
A Day in the Life
- Lead and inspire clinicians, creating a culture of teamwork, respect, and growth.
- Provide evidence-based, patient-centered care while modeling best practices.
- Partner with senior leadership to drive quality initiatives, risk management, and innovation.

- Help chart the course for new clinical programs and services that meet the evolving needs of our patients.
Why Join OCHS?
- Impact: Play a vital role in ensuring high-quality, accessible care for everyone in our community.
- Lifestyle: Work in Provincetown, a world-renowned destination where coastal beauty, artistic energy, and inclusivity create a truly unique place to live.
- Balance: Lead with purpose while enjoying Cape Cod’s beaches, trails, and vibrant community life.
- Support: Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits, including CME allowance, PTO, retirement plan, and loan repayment eligibility.
- Belonging: Be part of an organization that values your voice, your leadership, and your well-being.
If you’re ready to take on a leadership role that blends purpose, challenge, and impact, we’d love to meet you!
