Job Description
The Club is seeking a creative and highly motivated candidate passionate about creating positive and supportive relationships with youth to serve in the role of Youth Development Specialist. The Youth Development Specialist plans, supervises, and implements a variety of high-yield activities and targeted programs revolving around these core areas: athletics, cultural arts, STEM, and education.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- One year experience directly serving youth
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic classroom management and the ability to direct youth and provide them with clear steps and tools that support goals achievement.
- Experience with lesson plan creation and implementation
- Bilingual- Spanish preferred
- Possession of a teaching certification or background in education
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple changing priorities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to complete reports, properly document programs, and utilize organizational data
- Experience with Microsoft Office software
- Excellent customer service skills
Conditions of Employment
- Must be able to pass criminal and driving records investigations, and reference checks.
- A valid driver's license and ability to be insured under the company's insurance policy.
- The successful candidate will primarily work indoors. Accordingly, the ability to use a variety of equipment including janitorial and office equipment is required.
- The job requires the ability to stand for extended periods, kneel, reach, bend, and lift objects weighing in excess of 25 lbs.
- Outdoor work and moderate physically demanding activities may be required on occasion.
- Strong English proficiency is required for this position to ensure effective communications with staff, Club members, and families, as well as to follow safety and procedural guidelines accurately.
Summary
Job Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Hourly Base Wage: $20.50
Hours: Potential for flexible schedule, however, the schedule is M-F. 20 hours per week.
