JOB DESCRIPTION

 

 

 

Position: Administrative Assistant


Reports To: Director of Early Intervention



General Statement of Duties and Responsibilities:


The Administrative Assistant performs all general receptionist duties including answering the telephone, taking referrals, typing correspondence, copying, printing, and faxing. Serves as back-up to Billing Specialist. Serves as a back up to DPH EICS Coordinator. Serves as back up to Transportation Coordinator. Serves as a back up to Referral Coordinator.


Specific Job Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Maintains a collaborative relationship with other office team members and other Thom offices.
  • Performs all general receptionist duties including answering the telephone, taking referrals, typing correspondence, copying, printing, and faxing.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of all aspects of the TBR, TC, and EICS.
    • Serves as back-up to Billing Specialist.
    • Serves as back-up to Administrative Assistant/EICS Coordinator
    • Serves as back-up to Administrative Assistant/Transportation Coordinator.
    • Other duties as assigned.



Qualifications:


  • A minimal educational requirement of a high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 18 years old.
  • A minimum of three years administrative experience with strong interpersonal skills, computer literacy, strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability and interest in working with a team of professionals.
  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries; promote client confidentiality; and exhibit flexibility, sensitivity to cultural differences, and teamwork.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to problem solve, make recommendations, and implement solutions.
