Essential Job Functions:

  • Support the Produce Manager in the overall performance, efficiency, and profitability of the Produce Department
  • Lead the team to meet or exceed expectations in sales, shrink, freshness, inventory management, and merchandising
  • Oversee FIFO practices, culling, crisping, back stock organization, and overall product rotation
  • Ensure accurate signage including COO (Country of Origin), farm information, and farming practices
  • Create eye-catching, seasonally relevant feature displays and track their performance
  • Monitor inventory levels to maximize sales while minimizing shrink and waste
  • Communicate regularly with Buyers regarding inventory trends, pricing, seasonal sets, and customer requests
  • Take ownership of POS inventory accuracy and assist with physical inventory counts
  • Track transfer logs, loss logs, and identify internal or external shrink concerns
  • Step in to order produce when the Produce Manager is unavailable
  • Help organize produce samplings to educate customers and drive category growth
  • Support department profitability including sales goals, cost of goods, labor, and waste management
  • Collaborate with Marketing on promotions and in-store features
  • Perform department walks, jump in on the floor, and model excellence in service and execution


Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Train and develop team members in product knowledge, merchandising, and customer education
  • Hold the team accountable to performance standards and daily expectations
  • Host huddles, provide one-on-one coaching, and give clear feedback
  • Assist with hiring, scheduling, reviews, and corrective action as assigned
  • Foster teamwork across departments
  • Approach challenges with solutions, not complaints
  • Help us grow without losing what makes Rosewood special

Pay and Benefits:

  • Pay starts at $18.00 per hour

Requirements

  • Previous Produce experience (1 - 2 years)
  • Must be able to periodically work in environments with temperatures below 32 degrees F
  • Must communicate by Homebase and email
  • Good working knowledge of Google Suite (Drive, Sheets, Docs) and Microsoft Excel is a plus
  • Must adhere to all SC Department of Agriculture food safety requirements including following rules of cooling and storing food properly when applicable
