Job Description

Dakota Dermatology is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. Our independent dermatology practice is fast-paced, team-driven, and patient-focused.

The position is full-time, typically working 32-40 hours per week with daily shifts M-F between 7:00am and 5:00pm. The Certified Medical Assistant will work with provider team with occasional travel to outreach clinics and schedule flexibility is required.

This position is a vital member of our team and performs the following duties with professionalism and dignity:

  • Cares for clinic patients under the direction of a physician, physician assistant, or certified nurse practitioner.
  • Participates in patient exams, procedures, and surgeries.
  • Documents the visit in our EHR system and uses computers and iPads to maintain records.
  • Develops relationships with patients, insurance companies, and other providers through correspondence, appointment and procedure management, coordinating insurance authorizations, managing prescriptions, and collaborative care through referrals.
  • Maintains a steady flow in fast-paced environment by turning over rooms, prepping equipment and treatments, and upholding strong communication throughout the clinic.

Pay scale is $23.00 to $30.00 per hour with consideration for skills and experience.

Job Requirements

Required: Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program and maintaining certification or registration through AAMA, AMT, or other nationally approved certification program.

Preferred: Previous clinic and EHR experience
