    Camden Hills Regional High School, a state-of-the-art energy efficient facility that includes a wind turbine and solar panels, serves 710 students in grades 9 � 12 from primarily six surrounding towns. The school offers an incredibly expansive array of educational experiences for students and is dedicated to hiring and retaining a high-quality, diverse staff.

    Position Summary

    We are seeking a vibrant and experienced leader with a proven record of successful building level leadership who can balance school traditions with a vision for the future. We want a leader who has the energy and courage to lead in a time of rapid change. In addition, the ideal candidate has sophisticated communication and interpersonal skills, a naturally collaborative style, and is a servant leader with poise, humility, and vision.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Foster a �culture of learning' and trust for all members of the school community.
    • Provide leadership in the creation, implementation, and evaluation of instruction, curriculum, and assessment.
    • Encourage and provide opportunities for staff to review current research, collaborate on educational issues and to challenge the status quo.
    • Recognize, encourage, and celebrate excellence in staff and students.
    • Promote a climate, culture, and attitudes that are consistent with the district's educational philosophy.
    • Cultivate reliable methods that support effective, two-way communication and improved public relations.
    • Assume a leadership role in plan development and communicating short- and long-term goals, while providing support for achievement of those goals.
    • Mentor, supervise, evaluate, assist, and provide professional feedback on job performance of staff.
    • Effectively manage spending, budgeting, and financial accountability systems, finding innovative ways to provide services and support programs.

    Qualifications/Skills

    • Successful teaching experience at the high school level.
    • Ability to think creatively and innovate to reinforce the district's mission, vision, and values.
    • Positive attitude and ability to serve as a role model in collaborating to create a productive, dynamic, and professional learning environment.
    • Effective listening skills.

    Requirements

    • Background check, including fingerprinting
    • Maine Department of Education Building Administrator (040) certification required.
    • Master's Degree with course work in Educational Administration in secondary education.
    • Minimum 3 years of experience as a high school principal.
