Background/rationale for requesting short-term hire:
The objective is to produce an analytical chapter for the October 2026 GFSR, provisionally titled “Hedge Funds and Financial Stability.” The chapter will analyze whether hedge funds support market efficiency and liquidity, while identifying the conditions under which they may propagate stress across asset classes and jurisdictions. The analysis focuses on key transmission channels, including forced deleveraging, crowded positioning, and interactions with dealer balance sheets and market liquidity.
