Description
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize all areas of the church including, but not limited to, sanctuary, meeting rooms, offices, and bathrooms.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, minor plumbing repairs, and touch-up painting.
- Set up and break down furniture for church events and meetings.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed.
- Ensure all waste is disposed of properly and recycling is maximized.
- Report any major maintenance needs and safety concerns to the Church Pastor/Board.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in custodial duties and light maintenance is preferred.
- Knowledge of how to use cleaning supplies and basic equipment.
- Ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and move light furniture.
- Respectful and considerate towards the religious setting.
Typical Physical Demands
· Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching.
· May require lifting to 20 pounds.
· Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
