Overview

As a direct patient care provider: Provides age appropriate care and intervention for ages of patients served according to job description.

7pm - 7:30am    


Responsibilities

1.* Assesses patients biopsychosocial needs in an age-appropriate manner and with a knowledge of   patient growth and development.

 

2.* Develops plan of care and communicates to other members of the health care team.

 

3.* Administers and delivers the plan of care, utilizing patient care standards in clinical practice.

 

4.* Evaluates outcomes and modifies the plan of care as necessary.

 

5.* Educates patient and family on plan of care and their responsibilities, including post-discharge.

 

6.* Collaborates with all members of the health care team.

 

7.* Provides clinical supervision to appropriate health care team members, delegating tasks and overseeing performance of duties.

 

8.* Documents all information applicable to patient care in patient/departmental record.

 

9.* Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.

OTHER JOB DUTIES

Maintains competencies in individual field of responsibility.

Participates in the interview and evaluation of new health care team members.

Acts as preceptor for new health care team members.

Utilizes computer systems as they pertain to job responsibilities and in accordance with hospital policy.

Assures a safe environment and milieu in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.

Participates in MMC’s ongoing Quality Performance Improvement initiatives; identifies opportunities for organizational improvements.

Performs other related duties as required.


Qualifications

Education:

Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing school required; BSN preferred.

Current NYS licensure as RN required.

 

Experience:

Professional nursing experience appropriate to the service and the position.

 

Skills:

Clinical skills for patient care delivery through the nursing process.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Good interpersonal skills.

Analytical skills.

Speaks, reads and writes English to the extent required by the position; fluency in a second language preferred.


Pay Range

USD $123,105.08 - USD $123,105.08 /Yr.
