About the Role:
The Air Barrier Installer for the Northeast (Massachusetts and further north on the East Coast) Region plays a critical role in enhancing building energy efficiency and indoor air quality by expertly installing air barrier systems. This position involves working closely with construction teams to ensure that air barriers are applied correctly to prevent air leakage, moisture intrusion, and thermal loss. The installer will be responsible for interpreting architectural plans and specifications to determine the appropriate materials and installation techniques. Attention to detail and adherence to safety standards are paramount to ensure the durability and effectiveness of the air barrier system. Ultimately, this role contributes to the sustainability and performance of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings across the Northeast region.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in air barrier installation or related construction trade.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and working at heights.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel within the Northeast region.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in air barrier installation or building envelope technology.
- Experience with various air barrier materials and application techniques.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and installation instructions to determine the layout and installation requirements for air barrier systems.
- Prepare surfaces and install air barrier materials such as membranes, tapes, sealants, and insulation in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and project specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to coordinate installation schedules and ensure seamless integration with other building envelope components.
- Conduct quality control inspections during and after installation to verify the integrity and continuity of the air barrier system.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols and using personal protective equipment appropriately.
