DUTIES:

• Provide academic and instructional support to individual or small groups of students under the direct supervision of appropriate teacher and/or administrative personnel.
• Prepare instructional materials as needed; including maintaining appropriate records of student progress under the direction of the appropriate staff member.
• Provide assistance with related instructional work and available resources as required
• Communicate with students, staff, and family members for academic and behavioral purposes and/or concerns.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

SALARY:

$21.50 per hour minimum, with a higher rate based on related work experience, plus full-time benefits per RHEA, Coalition Unit, Paraprofessionals Chapter

QUALIFICATIONS:

NYS Teacher or Teaching Assistant certification required (or ability to obtain immediately upon appointment).  Prior experience as a teacher or a teaching assistant is preferred.
