As a Systems Engineer, you will manage and refine system requirements for complex hardware/software systems throughout the entire development lifecycle. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams, deliver technical expertise, and guide critical design decisions to ensure our solutions stay on the leading edge of technology and meet mission needs.
CLEARANCE REQUIRED: TS/SCI with Poly
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Join a cutting-edge team driving innovation and mission-critical solutions for space domain awareness and geolocation. By leveraging advanced RF signal processing, geospatial analytics, and Software Defined Radio (SDR) technologies, our program designs, develops, and maintains complex, high-performance systems that handle massive data sets in real-time. You’ll play a key role in integrating software across diverse hardware platforms, ensuring seamless interoperability and robust performance while contributing to the creation of novel algorithms, analytics, visualization tools, and more.
- Manage system and derived requirements to guarantee compatibility with defined system architectures (DoDAF, SOA, etc.).
- Develop and maintain systems engineering documentation (e.g., System Engineering Plans, Requirements Specifications, Interface Control Documents).
- Assist in defining system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation of the same to hardware, software, facilities, and personnel components.
- Coordinate and resolve action items from Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews that require cross-team collaboration.
- Generate alternative system concepts, physical architectures, and design solutions, and guide the technical direction for system development and integration.
- Define methods, processes, and evaluation criteria for verifying systems, subsystems, and work products against their requirements.
- Contribute to interface definition, design, and configuration changes while ensuring stakeholder buy-in.
- Derive lower-level requirements from higher-level specifications, ensuring thoroughness and clarity for each system component.
- Provide technical guidance on complex hardware/software integration, design trade-offs, and risk management processes through all development phases.
- Establish formal processes to proactively control and manage changes to requirements, ensuring full traceability and stakeholder approval.
- Plan and support verification efforts of new capabilities early in the development lifecycle to confirm compliance with established requirements.
- Oversee the technical integrity of system baselines over time, updating them as changes are imposed during development, deployment, and operations.
- Coordinate with system stakeholders to plan certification and accreditation processes (DoD C&A, etc.).
- Develop system design solutions that meet performance standards, operational needs, and user expectations.
- 7 - 14+ years of systems engineering experience on medium-to-large programs or contracts (20-100 people).
- Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline.
- Five (5) additional years of relevant SE experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance (required).
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar project management tools.
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks (Scrum, etc.).
- Proficiency with SysML tools: Cameo/MagicDraw, Rhapsody, or similar.
- INCOSE ASEP or related systems engineering certifications.
