Job Summary:
Machinist 3 LEAD performs advanced machine setup, process troubleshooting, and ensures all processes achieve required tolerances. This role leads process improvements and mentors lower-level employees.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

- Hone
- Koyo
- Centerless Grind
- CNC drill
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, setups, quality, and process issues.
- Achieve and maintain tolerances below .0005 independently.
- Collaborate with quality and engineering to resolve quality issues.
- Train and mentor Machinists 1, 2, and Operators.
- Document and refine setup procedures and standard work instructions.
- Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist with machine repair and preventive maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and production standards.
- Maintain autonomous maintenance schedule.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years machining experience.
• Expert in precision machining and tolerances below .0005.
• Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and GD&T.
• Leadership and mentoring experience.
• Experience with CNC programming and advanced setup preferred.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- Works in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and occasional noise.

- Ability to understand verbal instructions and comply with safety and quality regulations.
Shift Schedule: 2nd Monday - Thursday 3:00 p.m. - 1:30 a.m.
