    Position Title: Elementary English Language Development (ELD) Teacher
    Location: Butler Elementary School
    Work Year: 2026�2027 School Year
    Start Date: August 5, 2026
    Reports To: Building Principal


    SUMMARY:

    The Elementary English Language Development (ELD) Teacher provides targeted instruction to multilingual learners to support English language acquisition and academic success. This position includes collaboration with classroom teachers to implement effective ELD strategies through push-in and/or pull-out models. The teacher ensures instruction is aligned with Colorado Academic Standards and supports students in developing reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.


    SALARY RANGE:

    $47,750 � $103,021

    • Full credit given for years of experience and education
    • May qualify for up to five additional steps based on experience and education
    • Tuition reimbursement opportunities available

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education required
    • Must hold or be eligible to obtain a Colorado Teaching License with CLDE (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education) or Linguistically Diverse/ELD endorsement
    • Demonstrated knowledge of Colorado standards, assessments, and data-driven instruction
    • Strong background in reading, writing, and English Language Development
    • Experience supporting elementary students in English as a Second Language and English/Language Arts
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with grade-level teams
    • Experience with push-in and/or pull-out service models preferred
    • Experience working with diverse student populations
    • Bilingual/Biliterate in Spanish and English preferred
    • Technology proficiency preferred
    • Coaching opportunities may be available

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Provide direct ELD instruction aligned to student language proficiency levels
    • Collaborate with classroom teachers to support multilingual learners
    • Monitor student progress and use data to inform instruction
    • Support implementation of district curriculum and language development strategies
    • Maintain compliance with state and federal requirements for multilingual learners
    • Communicate effectively with families and staff
    • Participate in team meetings and professional development
