Ranch Heights Elementary School Additional Information: Show/Hide - Requests and maintains attendance information and registration records.
- Keeps track of and processes in-district/out of district transfers.
- Tracks excess student tardiness and absences and reports those to the appropriate designated site personnel.
- Answers the telephone and greets visitors.
- Relays information to teachers.
- Handles correspondence for the Principal's office.
- Dispenses and administers medication to students when the nurse is absent.
- Files guardian papers and medical information papers.
- Determines student bus routes.
- Calls parents to verify unreported absences.
- Responsible for enrollment paperwork, packets, and correspondence.
- Inputs student enrollment information into PowerSchool.
- Assists Principal with Accreditation Notebook and other State Reports.
- Files student papers in cumulative folders.
- Prints and distributes report cards and progress reports.
- Compiles and sends attendance letters for tardies, absences and enrollment verification
- Maintains current immunization records for students.
- Maintains Lobby Guard
- Performs other duties as assigned.

ATTENDANCE SECRETARY - ELEMENTARY
QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or GED and specialized vocational experience in or after high school in the field of record keeping and data entry. Two years experience, in word processing, data entry on computers and complex data Base. Employee must be able to walk for 4 hours. Job requires occasional bending/stooping/squatting/crouching/kneeling, climbing, reaching above the shoulder and pushing/pulling. Job requires occasional carrying/lifting up to 50 pounds. Job requires employee to use both hands for repetitive actions involving simple/firm grasping and fine manipulation. Employee must possess hearing and speaking abilities to monitor equipment and communicate with employees, students, and parents. The Board of Education and Superintendent may approve alternatives to the listed qualifications.
CONTRACT: 10 months (218 days)
WORKING HOURS: 8 hours daily, usually between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
