Sr./MTS/SMTS Linux Kernel Software Engineer
THE ROLE:
You will be working within an international org to develop Linux kernel driver for Graphics/Compute/Power Management areas. You will be exposed to cutting edge technology, e.g. Graphics, GPU Computing, Heterogeneous Computing, AR/VR for various AMD product lines.
THE PERSON:
You are expected to be passionate and self-motivated with technical leadership and excellent trouble-shooting skills to contribute to opensource community and deliver to multiple programs on AMD’s roadmap.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver GPU drivers support to various AMD products coworking with cross function teams.
- Develop key features for AMD APU/GPU products
- Sustain the driver/features for existing APU/GPU products
- Participate the Opensource Community development
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Solid skill of C/C++ programming
- Solid experience of Linux kernel or Linux device driver development
- Deep Knowledge of Computer Architecture and Computer Graphics
- Deep Knowledge of x86 assembler language and x86/x64 CPU instructions
- Experience of X server or popular Linux based window system as a plus
- Experience of OpenGL as a plus
- Experience of software development in Open-Source community as a plus
- Experience of android graphics/multimedia or kernel development as a plus
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- MS/BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent education background
- Fluent English
