This is a fulltime onsite Medical Assistant/Community Health Worker position supporting the Hypertension Team.
Job Description:
Under the Director Quality Improvement the Medical Assistant provides direct clinical service to patients by performing basic patient care tasks; completes unit clerk responsibilities as assigned. The Medical Assistant will be making out reach reminder calls to the patients, reviewing and providing them Hypertension materials and information as part of their care program.
Educational Requirements:
High School diploma or GED required. Must be graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Experience Required:
Previous experience in primary care or other health care setting preferred. Demonstrated computer proficiency required.
Professional Licensure/Special Skills and Certification Required:
CPR/BLS Certification required
Reporting Relationship:
Reports to the Director of Quality Improvement
