Job Description

Shift – Flex time between 7:00am-8:30am. 7:00am-3:30pm; 7:30am-4:00pm; 8:00am-4:30pm; 8:30am-5:00pm. Shift bidding process based on seniority. 

Site/Location: New Hudson, MI

Status – Regular Full Time 

 

Maintains an accurate inventory on the computerized inventory control system. Performs cycle counting of all BCBSM, subsidiary and external customer stock items. Generates weekly and monthly inventory reports. Interacts with internal and external customer.

  • Responsible for all aspects of the inventory control system including input and verification of transactions, generating reports, and performing software updates.
  • Coordinates the scrapping of obsolete forms, including charge back to customers. 
  • Files receiving reports, printing specification sheets, cancellation notices, and maintains inventory reports. 
  • Reviews the low-level notification report to determine re-order of forms printed in-house, reorder of vendor items and release of vendor-stocked items. 
  • Resolves computer problems related to the inventory system. 
  • Assists group leader with ordering stock/forms; releases stock from vendors to replenish stock used by customers; assists and resolves stock related problems with customers; verifies existence of stock outs and process back orders. 
  • Performs cycle counting (physical count) of all BCBSM, subsidiary, and outside customer’s stock items. 
  • Expedites emergency stock Requisitions. 
  • Required to operate materials handling equipment i.e., electric pallet mover, electric lift truck, manual lift truck, banding machines, etc.
  • Assists in training new materials processor under direction of supervisor. 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent is required.
  • Six (6) months departmental experience etc. 
  • Requires an understanding of forms control, purchasing, printing, receiving and inventory control procedures to perform related duties. 
  • Ability to operate a calculator, letter opening machines and metering equipment, all UPS Applications Basic knowledge of PC skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with employees and clients.
  • Must have knowledge of corporate mail code system, U.S. Postal Regulations, claim forms and specialized department forms. 
  • Must have knowledge of, corporate organizational structure, ordering stock, department policies and procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
  • Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.
