Job Description:
Job Summary: As a CF Fill Pharmacy Technician I, you'll use various systems to assemble patient prescriptions, while working collaboratively to ensure your Team accurately meets daily Pharmacy production goals.

Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

• Central Fill Operations:

  • Assembles medication orders using fully automated, semi-automated, and manual assembly systems
  • Prepares / dispenses scripts; reviews orders on computer; files as indicated
  • Hand-counts pills; measures liquids; replenishes pills for automated systems
  • Labels scripts; scans product; applies label on the bottle / package; includes special directions, as needed
  • Performs basic computer troubleshooting
  • Cleans / maintains automated prescription processing equipment
  • Performs well counts in Pharmacy systems
  • Complies with SOP to pull / process out of date product
  • Processes timely and accurate dead stock returns
  • Prepares digital drug imaging for Rx system; takes pictures of medication; uploads to system for Pharmacist verification
  • Ensures privacy and confidentiality of personal health information (PHI) in compliance with HIPAA
  • Assists with maintenance, organization, upkeep of facility
  • May perform other duties, as needed

• Receiving / Stocking:

  • Receives inventory; checks delivery for accuracy compared to invoices; checks line by line receiving
  • Inputs receiving information into system
  • Stages inventory; breaks into sections for stocking
  • Stocks inventory
  • Returns excess inventory to H-E-B Warehouse / vendors, as needed
  • Contacts H-E-B Warehouse or vendor if inventory is short

Work Experience:
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment -
  • of retail experience (preferred) -
  • Pharmacy experience (preferred) -

  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks -
  • Ability to work in a team environment -
  • Ability / willingness to cross-train and pitch in at any moment for any reason -
  • Ability to work with little direct supervision; self-starter -

  • Education:
  • or equivalent -

  • Licenses/Certifications:
  • Texas State Board of Pharmacy Technician certification -
  • TSBP Registered Pharmacy Technician -

  • Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
  • Work in a fast-paced, demanding work environment that requires detailed work and precision under stress
  • Stand for extended periods
  • Regularly lift up to 20 lbs; occasionally lift 50 lbs
  • Work rotating schedules, including weekends; remain flexible to business needs
  • Stay past scheduled shift in order to complete daily production in the event of systems failure or production downtime, as needed
