As the Director of Guardian Software and Solutions, you will lead the core services teams that provide support to the North America and Global Power & Water Solutions organization, including Customer Support (Global Center), Educational Services, Security Solutions, Networking/Connectivity, Support Teams, and the Ovation Project Virtual Environment. 

You will play a key role in driving sustainable growth, strengthening customer partnerships, and aligning cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, reliable, and customer-focused solutions.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Provide management oversight, strategic direction, and operational leadership for Guardian Software and Solutions core services teams supporting North America and Global PWS organizations. 
  • Lead and develop leadership teams responsible for Educational Services, Customer Support, Security Solutions, and Networking, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment focused on continuous improvement. 
  • Partner across departments and business units to develop and execute growth strategies, productivity improvements, and new programs that support business objectives. 
  • Drive financial performance by meeting productivity, cost containment, and quality objectives while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. 
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to support service growth and customer engagement strategies. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, PWS leaders, and other Emerson business units to support long-term business development. 
  • Oversee financial and resource planning, including budgets and salary merit plans, ensuring responsible stewardship of people and resources. 
  • Contribute to new product and service design, development, and implementation, bringing a service-oriented and customer-informed perspective. 
  • Support the development and expansion of Educational Services offerings and financial performance.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, engineering, information systems, data analytics, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • Minimum of 7 years’ of related experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading people and teams in technical or service-oriented environments
  • Experience supporting customer-facing organizations with a strong focus on service quality and customer satisfaction
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, navigate conflict constructively, and build collaborative relationships across teams and business units
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10%
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

 

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Master’s in business administration (MBA)
  • PMP certification
  • Experience managing financial performance, resources, and budgets in a complex organization
  • Experience with financial planning, forecasting, and performance management.
  • Demonstrated success leading and engaging both remote and in-person teams
