Role Responsibilities

The Production Supervisor position is part of the Operations Team. This is a full-time, exempt position, located in our Mentor, Ohio office. This position will require a broad range of responsibilities to ensure success. Including, but not limited to these functionalities:

• Maintain and promote a safe work environment, ensuring team members follow safety protocols and procedures.
• Communicate pertinent and relevant production issues to other supervision and management.
• Demonstrated knowledge of machines and machine shop operations
• Mastercam experience
• CNC manufacturing experience
• Proven ability to program at the machine utilizing G&M Code Programing
• Prior supervisory experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to foster and maintain positive working relationships.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the machine shop and provide technical assistance to machinists when needed.
• Drive out waste throughout the manufacturing operation through the deployment of the Lean methodology.
• Drive a continuous improvement culture by involving team members in problem solving and decision making as well as recognizing them for exceptional work.
• Implement and manage departmental goals to assist in reaching company goals.
• Serve as liaison between department and management.
• Ensure area housekeeping is up to expectations.
• Maintain time and production records.
• Attend and participate in production meetings.
• Schedule overtime according to production and business needs.
• All other duties assigned.
• Other essential duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• Experience:
• • 3 or more years of experience of programming machines utilizing G&M Code Programming
  • 3-5 years’ experience of prior supervisory experience
  • CNC Lathes experience or related experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of machining and machine shop operations
  • Mastercam experience
  • CNC Lathes manufacturing experience
  • Ability to foster and maintain positive working relationships.

• • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment.
• Requires working closely with production and engineering teams on-site.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this role is $55,000 - $70,000 annually.
