Entry-Level (Foundational)

Work Experience Description:

Suitable for students with basic foundational knowledge and little to no practical experience, ideal for freshmen or sophomores who have completed only introductory courses.

Custodial (Facilities Maintenance)

Position Scope

  • Sweeps, mops, and polishes floors. Vacuums and spot cleans carpets.

  • Removes trash from trash containers

  • Removes water from walks and driveways.

  • Removes trash from trash containers.


Requirements

  • Must be able to lift items weighing up to 75 lbs. on a regular basis.

  • Hoses down and pressure washes Pacific Pavilion, front entrance, IMAX, Concessions and Alii Luau areas, and any other walkway in assigned area(s) as needed.

  • Must be capable of a full range of body movement.

  • Must be able to speak, read and write in English.

  • Should have a grammar school education.

  • No prior work experience necessary.

  • Must exemplify the University Honor Code, including the dress and grooming principles and expectations.

  • Preference will be given to students who can work during academic breaks.

Approximate starting hourly rate:

$14.00 - $16.00

The wage offered could be above or below range based on education and experience as it relates to the job description.
