Job Description

To further develop our Mobility Business and the Engineering & Homologation Business Field, we are looking for a Key Account Manager (Global Customers) who will play a crucial role in establishing, maintaining and expanding long-term relationships with key international customers, driving business growth and positioning TÜV Rheinland as a trusted global partner.

Responsibilities

  • Establish, maintain and further develop long-term relationships with key global customers in the Engineering & Homologation Business Field, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Develop customer strategies (account plans) and implement them together with the Key Account Team to be formed, in close collaboration with internal departments and internal/external partners.
  • Analyze customer requirements, market trends and competitive activities to identify new business opportunities and define tailored customer solutions in line with TÜV Rheinland’s service portfolio.
  • Coordinate all internal activities related to the management of key accounts, facilitating communication between technical, sales, delivery and legal functions and ensuring efficient handling of offers and projects.
  • Participate in international trade shows, conferences and industry events to represent TÜV Rheinland, promote our Engineering & Homologation services and expand the network of potential clients and partners.
  • Prepare regular reports and analyses on key account performance, sales targets and business development activities, ensuring accurate and up-to-date maintenance of the CRM system.

Your Profile

  • University degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of professional experience in Key Account Management, ideally in engineering, homologation, automotive, mobility or a related technical field.
  • Strong ability to understand and clearly explain complex technical content to different stakeholders and hierarchical levels (from technical experts to senior management/C-level).
  • Proven experience working with international customers and cross-cultural teams, with strong intercultural awareness and sensitivity.
  • Demonstrated track record in conducting negotiations and closing contracts at international level.
  • Fluency in spoken and written in English.
  • High willingness to travel internationally.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, strong customer and results orientation, autonomy, proactivity and an aptitude for working in cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

  • French and/or German language skills
  • Previous experience in testing, inspection, certification or technical consulting services.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle and component homologation processes or international technical regulations.
