Job Description

Job Purpose:

 

The Global Senior Tax Accountant will handle all International Indirect Taxes (VAT/GST/HST).

 

Essential Functions

·         Indirect Tax compliance

o   Prepare and file all VAT/GST/HST filings in conjunction with 3rd party providers

o   Work with vendors & customers to ensure invoice accuracy

o   Stay up to date with changes in global tax regulations and their impact on CBTS

o   Ensure CBTS’ adherence to all international indirect tax laws

o   Explore new areas of business and their impact on these taxes

o   Reconcile and maintain general ledger accounting for taxes

Education

·         Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Certifications, Accreditations, Licenses

·         Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Chartered Tax Adviser or similar accreditation will be preferred

Experience

·         3-6 Years

Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

·         Tax knowledge with a strong understanding of VAT/GST/HST and Income Tax for UK, EU, Canada and India

·         Software experience with Great Plains, OneSource, AvaTax (or other general tax engines)

·         Ability to communicate with team and outside providers efficiently and effectively

·         Experience working for a US Headquartered company with multinational subsidiaries

·         Efficiently handle numerous projects, manage deadlines and priorities

·         Interest in using technology/AI to create automation in tax areas
