Job Description

Position Summary



The Continuous Improvement Technician is responsible for supporting process optimization, operational efficiency, and organizational effectiveness using lean and quality tools across all functions of the assigned area or Plant.



This is a high visibility and high impact role that will act as a liaison between front line members and management to drive improvement initiatives across the organization. This role will report to the Continuous Improvement Manager, with dotted line responsibility to the assigned Plant Manager.



Key Responsibilities




  • Problem solve, problem solve, problem solve.

  • Must be able and willing to help solve problems across all functions of the organization.

  • Train and help others to learn problem solving tools, methods and techniques.

  • Support and help implement a continuous improvement strategy aligned with organizational goals.

  • Support and lead initiatives to identify, evaluate, and implement process improvements.

  • Support process mapping, data analysis, and key performance indicators (KPI’s) to identify inefficiencies.

  • Help monitor key performance indicator (KPI) trends to measure the success of improvement initiatives.

  • Help develop and implement solutions to reduce waste and improve workflows and quality issues.

  • Train and mentor team members in continuous improvement tools and techniques.

  • Help facilitate cross-functional improvement workshops.

  • Support the execution of continuous improvement projects from concept to completion.

  • Communicate the value of continuous improvement initiatives to front line members of the organization.

  • Ensure all process improvements comply with industry regulations, safety and quality standards.
