Summary: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) functions under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer and performs delegated patient care functions. All work is performed in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the organization and within the scope of educational preparation and regulatory requirements for licensure.
The LPN is an active member of the Care Coordination Team, collaborating with providers, nursing staff, care coordinators, and support services to promote continuity of care, patient engagement, and positive health outcomes. The LPN is expected to assess and analyze patient situations and make clinical decisions within the limits of licensed practice. Additionally, the LPN trains and supports new staff with enthusiasm and actively promotes activities that assist in their successful assimilation into the work area.
Education: Licensed Practical Nurse degree
Experience: One-year experience in a clinical setting preferred.
Licenses, Certification, and/or Registrations: Current licensure by the Alabama Board of Nursing and must be Certified to practice Nursing in the State of Alabama. BLS certification.
