Senior Corporate Counsel

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and business-minded Senior Corporate Counsel to join our in-house legal team. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this attorney will serve as a trusted advisor across the organization, providing practical legal guidance on a broad range of commercial, intellectual property, and strategic matters. This is a high-impact role for a collaborative attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to be a true partner to the business.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Transactional
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including customer contracts, vendor agreements, licensing arrangements, NDAs, and other business-critical documents.
- Identify and mitigate legal and business risk in contractual matters while enabling efficient deal execution.
- Manage contract repository and develop and maintain standard contract templates and playbooks to streamline the contracting process.
Legal Advisory & Business Support
- Partner with business units to review current and contemplated products, services, and business initiatives, providing proactive legal analysis and practical guidance.
- Advise on applicable laws, regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to business operations and new offerings.
- Serve as a key legal resource to the General Counsel and Senior Leadership Team on strategic and operational matters.
- Assist General Counsel with insurance portfolio, including renewals and claims.
Disputes & Litigation
- Provide legal support in connection with disputes, claims, and litigation matters.
- Liaise with outside litigation counsel, including overseeing strategy, budgets, and case timelines.
- Assist with legal holds, document preservation, and internal investigations as needed.
What will help you succeed in the role
Required
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing.
- 3 to 6 years of legal experience, whether gained in law firm or in-house.
- Demonstrated expertise in commercial contract drafting and negotiation.
- Experience managing large volume of commercial contracts.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to provide practical, solutions-oriented legal advice.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to distill complex legal issues for non-legal audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a dynamic environment.
Nice-To-Have
- Experience in data privacy law
- Familiarity with international trade and customs matters.
- Familiarity with intellectual property (mostly trademarks)
Compensation & Benefits
Certified Collectibles Group offers a competitive compensation package including a base salary range of $130,000 to $160,000, annual performance bonus, comprehensive health benefits, 401(k) with company match, and PTO.
