Job Description

The Patient Scheduler is a high-impact, sales-focused role within the Patient Scheduling Office (PSO), responsible for converting inbound inquiries into booked appointments. This position goes beyond traditional scheduling—you are expected to sell the appointment, overcome objections, and close every viable caller.

This is not a passive scheduling role—success in this position requires confidence, professionalism, and the ability to influence decision-making. Patient Schedulers are expected to overcome objections, build urgency, and confidently “ask for the appointment” to ensure strong booking outcomes.  Strong performers have the potential to earn over $100,000 annually.

The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment, with a strong ability to balance empathy and sales effectiveness.  If you are comfortable asking for the sale, handling rejection, and pushing conversations forward to a clear outcome, while working for a high growth company that really cares about its staff—this role is for you.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Field high-volume inbound calls and respond to web leads with the primary goal of converting inquiries into scheduled patient appointments

  • Confidently guide conversations using scripted call flows while adapting naturally to patient needs

  • Actively promote services and encourage patients to book appointments by building value and urgency

  • Overcome objections related to cost, timing, uncertainty, and hesitation using proven sales techniques

  • Ask for the appointment and effectively close calls with a confirmed booking whenever appropriate

  • Deliver a Five-Star patient experience while balancing empathy with results-driven performance

  • Accurately document all interactions in scheduling systems and maintain up-to-date patient records
