Job Description

The Production Architect will be responsible for the correction and updates of documents as required. He/she will also develop solutions to technical problems and provide hands on supervision to the Architectural staff during a portion of a project. In conjunction with the Project Manager, he/she may be responsible for keeping a phase of a project on schedule.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • The Production Architect may function as discipline team leader on projects when assigned by the Practice Leader.
  • Responsible for building system concepts and documentation process for schematics through construction administration phases within the discipline.
  • Prepare and monitor project status reports.
  • Prepare and document required code research for project.
  • Conduct material and product research as required for project development.
  • Attend project meetings as necessary.
  • Interface with other discipline team leaders.
  • Document interpretation and submittal reviews during bidding and construction administration.
  • Monitor staff to produce quality architectural and engineering services within a project team concept.
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture and licensure highly preferred; if not licensed, must be obtainable in the very near future.
  • Eight to ten years' experience in Architecture industry desired.
  • Exceptional computer, REVIT, AutoCAD, 3D modeling skills preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task on several projects.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to mentor interns.
  • Extensive knowledge of all aspects of professional services from schematic design through project close-out, including design and technical expertise.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the coordination aspects and related requirements of all design disciplines.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
  • Possess the ability to motivate and mentor staff and delegate work assignments.
  • Very detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic and flexible.
  • Ability to work well with others under deadline situations.
