Medical Laboratory Technician    

Status: Full Time – Non-Exempt

Reports to: Lab Manager

Evaluates: None

Minimum Qualifications

•    Nationally registered or eligible for registration as a Medical Laboratory Technician

•    Current or eligible for Montana State licensure as a Medical Laboratory Technician; license must be obtained within 90 days of employment

•    CPR for health care providers

•    Previous phlebotomy experience, preferred or the ability to successfully complete BBC training program for phlebotomy within the first six months of employment

Working Conditions

•    Normal laboratory environment

•    Required to work varying shifts, weekends, or holidays

•    Required to participate in on-call rotations to meet business needs

Blood Borne Pathogen Category:   Category I:  Tasks that involve exposure to blood, body, fluids or tissues.

Airborne Contaminant Category:  Category I:  Tasks that routinely require activities that may involve exposure to airborne contaminants.
