Requirements
The Senior Accounting Manager oversees the day-to-day accounting operations of Conductor Power and ensures accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. This role manages general ledger activity, month-end close processes, financial reconciliations, payroll journal entries, and internal controls. The Senior Accounting Manager partners closely with the CFO to support budgeting, forecasting, audit preparation, and financial decision-making. This role provides leadership to the accounting team, drives continuous improvement, and ensures consistent application of GAAP and company financial policies.
What You’ll Do
- Lead daily accounting operations (AP/AR, general ledger, reconciliations, project accounting) while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strong internal controls.
- Oversee month/quarter/year-end close and produce timely, GAAP-compliant financial statements, including journal entries, accruals, and variance analysis.
- Analyze financial performance, project costs, and margins; support budgeting, forecasting, and executive/Board reporting with actionable insights.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax/regulatory requirements, audits, and lender requests; maintain and improve accounting policies, controls, and documentation.
- Manage, coach, and develop the accounting team while partnering cross-functionally and driving process improvements, system integrations, and scalability initiatives.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance plus 5–8 years of progressive experience (construction or project-based industries preferred), including 3+ years in a supervisory role; CPA/CMA a plus.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and construction accounting (WIP, job costing, accruals, retainage, progress billing).
- Advanced proficiency in financial systems (NetSuite or similar ERP) and Excel, with solid understanding of accounting workflows.
- Proven leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment, with a problem-solving mindset, willingness to travel as needed, and capability to work in both office and job site settings.
