Job Summary

As a part of the Industrial Automation Solutions (IAS) team, the MCC Specialist is expected to provide a high level of sales support to assist business development managers with the proper selection, customer acquisition, installation, and commissioning of application specific MCC solutions. The role acts as the primary technical expert on MCC applications and oversees the design, quotation, order, and installation life cycle.  This position will require a broad knowledge of peripheral technologies, such as PLCs, HMIs, networks, etc.  Additionally, this expert will provide technical training to all required staff and/or customers.

 

Essential Job Functions 

  • Applies safe work practices during all work activities.
  • Responsible for properly sizing and selecting application specific MCC solutions.
  • Provides recommendations and technical expertise in the selection of MCC’s for customer applications.
  • Demonstrates a complete understanding of the installation requirements and best practices for applications.
  • Understands and utilizes standard software features for all MCC related products.
  • Provide design and quotation support for field sales staff to ensure assistance with MCC applications.
  • Provides technical support to internal and external customers.
  • Conducts training for both internal associates and customers.
  • Responsible for achieving revenue and growth goals.
  • Performs other duties and/or projects as assigned.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relations with customers, coworkers and supervisors.
  • Ability to obtain all necessary Siemens certifications (position-dependent).
  • Serves as SME to customers, account managers, and branches for all Siemens industrial automation products.
