Job Description
Role Overview:

As Finance & Procurement Manager you will lead financial planning, budgeting and procurement.
operations for the HD Supply - GTC in Chennai. This role is responsible for managing the center’s P&L,
ensuring fiscal discipline and building strategic vendor relationships. The ideal candidate brings
strong financial acumen, procurement expertise and the ability to collaborate across global teams to
support business goals.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Strategy and Planning: 
  • Lead the budgeting forecasting and long-range financial planning
    cycles for the GCC aligned with corporate financial goals
  • Develop procurement strategies based on category spend supplier
    segmentation and risk exposure

  • Define governance frameworks for cost allocation approvals and
    financial policy adherence

  • Conduct spend analysis trend forecasting and scenario planning to
    support strategic decision-making

  • Design supplier engagement strategies to align with business
    priorities sustainability goals and resilience planning

  • Establish pricing benchmarks, total cost of ownership models and
    vendor selection criteria for high-value sourcing

  • Manage the GCC’s P&L ensuring adherence to budget, timely
    reporting and financial integrity

  • Execute the procure-to-pay lifecycle from requisition and PO creation
    to invoice processing and vendor payment

  • Monitor financial performance against key KPIs including cost variance
    category savings and expense trends

  • Ensure all vendor contracts are in place tracked and stored as per legal
    and procurement protocols

  • Track and enforce procurement SLAs validate invoices and ensure
    service delivery milestones are met

Delivery and Execution:
  • Manage the GCC’s P&L ensuring adherence to budget, timely
    reporting and financial integrity

  • Execute the procure-to-pay lifecycle from requisition and PO creation
    to invoice processing and vendor paymen

  • Monitor financial performance against key KPIs including cost variance
    category savings and expense trends

  • Ensure all vendor contracts are in place tracked and stored as per legal
    and procurement protocols

  • Track and enforce procurement SLAs validate invoices and ensure
    service delivery milestones are met

Support and Enablement:
  • Coordinate with IT legal and compliance teams to ensure seamless
    integration of procurement and financial tools

  • Support implementation of ERP enhancements, e-sourcing tools and
    automated procurement workflows

  • Maintain SOPs process documentation and audit trails for both finance
    and procurement operations

  • Develop dashboards and trackers to monitor spend performance,
    vendor utilization and budget health

  • Prepare data and documentation for statutory audits, internal reviews
    and global compliance checkpoints

  • Collaborate with business teams to assess future procurement needs
    and onboard new suppliers accordingly

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for finance and
    procurement support activities

  • Provide coaching and development opportunities focused on
    stakeholder communication digital tools and domain expertise

  • Act as a finance and procurement business partner to functional leads
    by providing strategic input and operational insights

Requirements

Required
Experience : 

  • 10+ years of experience in finance, procurement or commercial
    operations roles

  • Minimum 3–4 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role
    within a GCC, with direct responsibility for leading finance and
    procurement teams and overseeing end-to-end financial operations,
    sourcing and vendor management

  • Demonstrated experience managing P&L, budgeting cycles and
    financial reporting

  • Hands-on experience with procure-to-pay (P2P) processes and vendor
    lifecycle management

  • Exposure to global financial practices, compliance frameworks and
    internal audits

  • Experience working in a shared services or global capability center
    environment is preferred

  • Familiarity with contract negotiation, supplier risk assessment and cost
    control strategies

Essential Skills:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with deep attention to detail
  • Proven stakeholder engagement abilities and experience working with
    global cross-functional teams

  • Proficiency in financial tools such as Excel and Power BI along with
    ERP systems like SAP, Oracle or Coupa

  • Ability to interpret financial data and translate it into actionable
    business insights

  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills with an
    understanding of legal and commercial terms

  • Sound knowledge of procurement best practices compliance and
    supplier governance frameworks

  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and working across
    global time zones

  • High integrity, sound business judgment and a proactive problem
    solving approach

  • Strong command over budgeting forecasting variance analysis and
    cost optimization strategies

  • Familiarity with financial policy formulation internal control
    frameworks and audit readiness processes


Desired Skills:
  • Project management experience using tools like JIRA, Asana or Smart sheet
  • Knowledge of digital finance transformation and exposure to
    emerging technologies in procurement automation

  • Experience in managing outsourced service providers and shared
    service performance metrics

  • Familiarity with data governance, master data management and
    supplier onboarding protocols

  • Knowledge of tax implications, pricing models and foreign currency
    transactions related to international procurement
