Full-Time Pre-K 3 Teaching Position

Corpus Christi School, in Wethersfield, CT, is seeking a full-time Pre-Kindergarten 3 teacher.  Responsibilities would include creating an engaging learning environment that fosters academic and spiritual growth, develops Pre-K 3 students’ skills and a love of learning. The candidate should be competent at instructing four-and-five year-old students and ensuring their spiritual and academic growth. In addition, the candidate must be able to assist students who may need additional support.   

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement daily lesson plans that address spiritual, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.
• Use diverse instructional techniques such as modeling, observing, questioning, demonstrating, and reinforcing.
• Encourage children to develop self-help skills and independence.
• Adapt curriculum to meet individual learning needs and initiate referrals when necessary.
• Promote positive behavior through redirection, positive reinforcement, and adherence to the school’s behavioral policies.
• Maintain positive communication with families through newsletters, daily updates, and as-needed outreach.
• Attend regular staff meetings and participate in annual reviews and professional development.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding children, families, and staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or CDA in Early Childhood Education required.
• Minimum of 5 years classroom experience in early childhood education.
• Strong understanding of early childhood developmental stages.
• Demonstrated ability to create engaging, age-appropriate curriculum.
• Commitment to fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and faith-based environment
