High School Content Leaders for High School Counselors


 


CLASSIFICATION: TCEA
Status: Extra Duty Stipend


Contract: TCEA Master Agreement


 


General Summary:


The High School Level Content Leaders and Secondary Core Content Curriculum, Assessment, and Instructional Leaders of the High School Counseling Team leads and facilitates a continuous cycle of improvement focused on improving student achievement throughout the district. These district leaders report to the Chief Academic Officer-Secondary.


 


Duties and Responsibilities:


1) Develop understanding and knowledge of the State/District standards in the area of high school counseling and be able to communicate those standards to stakeholders through district curriculum units.


2) Communicate and create district curricular/instructional initiatives to stakeholders.


3) Outline, implement and lead district professional development in counseling across the district outside and/or inside of the school day


4) Analyze data for the district and site buildings involving district leaders.


5) Assist with District School Improvement Plan and School Improvement Plans in regards to Counseling.


6) Examine and recommend assessments, curriculum, and course/unit adjustments for the district.


7) Other duties as assigned.

1) Minimum of five years of successful teaching and leadership experience

4) Ability to problem-solve and envision future state


5) Demonstrate a willingness to listen and learn
