Travel Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs)

Locations: Walnut Creek, Santa Barbara, and Greater Los Angeles Area, California
Employment Type: Full-Time / Travel Assignment
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate + Travel Stipend (Food & Lodging)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team and provide high-quality rehabilitative care to residents in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) across California. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated clinician who enjoys flexibility, travel, and making a meaningful impact in multiple communities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide recommendations for home modifications and adaptive equipment with training as needed.

  • Ensure all treatment delivered is in accordance with the established plan of care.

  • Monitor patient response to treatment intervention and modify treatment approach and directive as clinically appropriate with IDT collaboration.

  • Provide clinical support and education to patients, family members, and caregivers.

  • Collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care is provided.

  • Ensure documentation is completed thoroughly and timely and complies with all company and state/federal regulatory requirements.

  • Complying with all rules, regulations, and procedures.

  • Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.

  • Associate's degree or greater - Occupational Therapy Assistant

  • Valid Occupational Therapy Assistant License & In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

Requirements

  • Education: Associate’s degree in occupational therapy assistant.

  • Licensure: Current and valid California COTA license.

  • Experience: Prior SNF experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.

  • Skills: Strong communication, adaptability, and time-management skills.

  • Travel: Willingness to travel between Walnut Creek, Santa Barbara, and the Greater Los Angeles area as needed.
