The Associate Director of Assessment, Accreditation and Engagement provides support and coordination for Division-wide academic and administrative assessment processes, while supporting compliance with accreditation requirements. The Associate Dir. collaborates closely with the program director, faculty, staff, and leadership to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that assessment and accreditation activities are systematic, data-driven, and aligned with the program’s mission, vision, and goals, and institutional objectives.
Plans and develops reports, communications, and other materials to support accreditation and other assessment activities. Collaborates with Division, School, and University stakeholders such as registrar and financial aid to obtain appropriate data necessary. Serves on university-wide committees as a representative of the unit. The Associate Dir. also leads data driven engagement and support efforts for faculty, student and staff. Performs other duties as assigned.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Assessment Leadership
o Supports design of division wide assessment system and implements and maintains the assessment system for the program.
o Develops templates, rubrics, and resources to support consistent, high-quality assessment practices.
o Collects, reviews, and analyzes assessment reports; prepares annual summaries highlighting strengths, gaps, and recommendations.
• Accreditation Support
o Coordinate preparation of accreditation reports and compliance documentation for regional and specialized accreditors.
o Assist with compiling and organizing institutional evidence in collaboration with the School of Medicine and the University.
o Ensure assessment results are integrated into accreditation narratives and planning.
• Continuous Improvement
o Promote a culture of data driven decision-making and continuous improvement across the unit.
o Monitor and benchmark program effectiveness indicators to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Collaboration & Communication
o Work collaboratively with Division director and Department chair to embed assessment in daily operations.
o Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Performs other related duties as required
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directs the strategic planning, development, and implementation of a program.
- Serves as a liaison and key spokesperson to various committees and organizations.
- Responds to inquiries and assists in promoting the program.
- Assists with policy formulation, strategy development, and the management of daily operations.
- May collaborate with representatives from private, government, and international agencies.
- Conducts research, designs new initiatives, and writes publishable articles and papers.
- May supervise staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in a field related to the program and seven years of professional experience related to the program and previous supervisory and program/project management experience, OR equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
- Master's degree preferred.
