Fitness Specialist - Part Time

Oshkosh, WI







Evergreen is seeking compassionate and motivated individual to join the team in its Fitness and Aquatics team.

The available position is 21 hours a week and the schedule is:

Monday 9:00am-4:00pm

Tuesday 9:00am-3:00pm

Wednesday 9:00am-6:00pm

Wage is $18-$20/hr. (based on experience)

Room to grow into more hours as the department continues to grow. This position includes paid vacation & sick time, access to dental and vision insurance and matching 403(b) retirement savings.

What you will do:

  • Coordinate and lead classes in the Fitness and Aquatic Center
  • Restorative therapy working one on one with residents
  • Maintain Aquatic Center, exercise equipment room and changing rooms
  • Act as a lifeguard/perform Basic Water Rescue as needed
  • Participate in benchmark data collection and independent resident orientation

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Associated or bachelor's degree in physical education, recreation therapy, fitness field or equivalent experience
  • Current lifeguard certification or able to demonstrate competent in Basic Water Rescue
  • Strong prioritization and organization skills
