This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program.
This candidate will join the Sentinel Payload Team (PLT) Aerospace Vehicle (AVE) and contribute to the electrical test team and subcontract management Team. This role will support PLT with electrical system design, cross-segment integration, test planning, test reporting, logistics, verification activities, and analyses for systems and subsystems. The successful candidate will clearly demonstrate foundational electrical engineering knowledge with verbal and written communication skills are required.
What you will get to do:
- Create, tailor, and coordinate testing and procedures to evaluate design including examination and / or demonstration
- Design and plan for testing of hardware for their space environment
- Adjudicate requirement conflicts with internal team and customer
- Support tasks at various locations
- Create contract documentation for delivery to the customer
- Champion technical items through various program boards
- Organize and prioritize job assignments and tasks
- Operate independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment
Basic Qualifications:
- T02 Electrical Engineer: 2 Years with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years with Masters
- T03 Principal Electrical Engineer: 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD
Basic Qualifications for either T02 or T03:
- Electrical Engineer STEM degree from an accredited institution
- Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
- 1+ year experience testing of cable/harness designs for military, Northrop Grumman, and or aviation standards
- Prior experience using electrical measurement and test equipment in a laboratory or field setting
- Prior experience planning and supporting RF (Radio Frequency) testing/measurements
- Prior experience performing electrical troubleshooting, root-cause analysis (RCA), failure modes analysis (FMA), or similar engineering activities
Preferred Qualifications:
- An active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope
- Active PAR
- Past/Active employment with MMIII or Sentinel Weapon Systems
- Experience contributing towards various phases of a program lifecycle
- Working with Shock, Vibration, EMI and EMC environmental tests
- Familiar with Python scripts used for testing and data analysis
- 2+ years working experience with MBSE tools (ie DOORs and Cameo)
- 1+ year working with CAD design tools (i.e. Siemens NX, Teamcenter, CATIA, Capital, etc.)
- Electric cable and circuit board design and test experience
- Prior test experience, authoring test plans and reports
- Prior ICBM test experience

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
