Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The ACCES-VR Intern receives integrated community training at a work site pertaining to their desired field of employment. The ACCES-VR Intern will be assigned and supported by an Employment Specialist through FREE that will assist with securing an appropriate work site, supports onboarding, monitors progress through measurable outcomes, and serves as liaison among the work site, ACCES-VR counselors, and FREE’s Human Resources team.
DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Follows instructions from on-site supervisor/management team at their assigned community work site to ensure that all job duties are fulfilled.

Adheres to all safety procedures and protocols at the community work site.

Communicates with the Employment Specialists and FREE’s Vocational Mangers to discuss progress, expectations, and case status.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education:

Other Requirements:

Must have independent transportation to travel to and from secured work site.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role is performed in-person at the assigned community worksite. Independent transportation is needed to travel to and from the work site.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Employee is required to sit, walk and stand for prolonged period of time (at least 8 hours).

Employee is required to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

Employee might be required to operate standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, fax and filing cabinets.

Employee is required to reach with hands and arms.

Employee is required to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or stand on a stool as needed.

Employee might be required to lift/move light items.

Additional physical requirements will be communicated to the employee by community worksite management.
