Job Description

Description

The PILC Summer Funding Award utilizes federal work study funds for students working at off-campus public interest legal summer internships for which they are not receiving academic credit. These may be in nonprofit organizations and government offices, including district attorneys and public defender offices.  Specific job functions and responsibilities are determined by the off-campus agency for whom the student is interning. Students applying to this posting online MUST have already been awarded a 2026 PILC Summer Funding Award from the Pace Law Public Interest Law Center.

 

Requirements

Students applying to this posting online must be currently enrolled at Pace Law School expecting a JD degree in 2027, 2028, or 2029 and, before applying here, MUST have already been awarded a 2026 PILC Summer Funding Award from the Pace Law Public Interest Law Center (PILC). (LL.M candidates, or other non-JD graduate or undergraduate students at Pace University are not eligible for this position).

Summary

Exact schedule to be determined with supervisor; no more than 20 hours per week when school is in session and no more than 35 hours per week during breaks.
