The CDL Driver is essential to the success of Cornerstone Trucking, LLC. You will be responsible for transporting loads safely and efficiently, conducting pre- and post-trip inspections, maintaining accurate logs, and communicating with dispatch throughout each route. Success requires professionalism, dependability, and a strong commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport freight to and from customer locations in accordance with DOT regulations
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicle and equipment
• Communicate regularly with dispatch regarding load status, delays, and equipment needs
• Ensure timely pickups and deliveries while maintaining accurate logs and paperwork
• Secure loads to prevent shifting, damage, or safety concerns
• Provide courteous, professional customer service at delivery and pickup locations
• Report maintenance or mechanical issues promptly
• Comply with all company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable driving experience (preferred; will consider recent graduates depending on experience)
• Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
• Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and professionalism
• Ability to operate electronic logging devices (ELD) and follow route instructions
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks as needed during loading/unloading
• High school diploma or equivalent

• Experience with dry van / flatbed / reefer operations (edit as applicable)
• Strong time-management skills with the ability to meet delivery deadlines
• Mechanical awareness for basic truck troubleshooting
