Schedule: Saturday and Sunday, 11:00pm to 7:30 am
Salary Range: $19.00 – $20.50 per hour, DOE
What You’ll Do: The Impact You’ll Make
As a Residential Aide, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive interim housing environment while assisting with daily program operations.
Resident Support and Care
• Respond promptly and professionally to resident needs
• Monitor residents to ensure a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment
• Assist with daily chores and personal care while encouraging independence
• Support meal preparation, serving, and scheduled program activities
• Maintain confidentiality in all resident interactions
Monitoring and Safety
• Conduct regular facility rounds to ensure safety and cleanliness
• Monitor resident rooms and common areas to ensure they are disinfected and hazard-free
• Respond appropriately to emergencies or unusual incidents and complete required documentation
Documentation and Communication
• Complete daily logs, end-of-shift reports, and obtain required signatures
• Document and report incidents, injuries, and unusual occurrences
• Communicate relevant updates to oncoming staff and the Program Manager
Administrative and Facility Support
• Answer phones, take messages, and greet visitors professionally
• Support program services, class setup, recreation, and special events
• Monitor and document resident self-administration of prescribed medications
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Program Manager
What You’ll Bring: Your Qualifications
Required
• High School diploma or GED
• At least one (1) year of experience in mental health, substance use treatment, or social services supporting individuals experiencing homelessness
• Candidates with lived experience are encouraged to apply
• If in recovery from alcohol or substance use, at least one (1) year of continuous sobriety
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress or conflict situations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database systems
• Valid California Driver’s License, clean driving record, and insurability under agency policy
• Ability to successfully pass a Live Scan background check
Preferred
• Current CPR certification
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Patient demeanor with the ability to create a calming presence
• Adaptable, consistent, compassionate team player
• Prior experience answering phones, greeting visitors, or providing administrative support
