JOB TITLE: Facilities Maintenance Technician DATE: 4/2026
REPORTS TO: Facilities Maintenance Supervisor STATUS: Non-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, performs a variety of general maintenance duties which include minor electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, and construction in the maintenance and repair of LPP facilities and equipment.
DAILY SUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete maintenance work orders as assigned and in a timely manner.
- Identify and perform basic service and repair on plumbing fixtures; open clogged lines and drains.
- Identify and assist with carpentry and repair work.
- Operate a variety of machinery, equipment and tools including saws, router, drills, sanders, planers, drill presses and various hand tools.
- Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment; recommend tools, supplies, and equipment for purchase.
- Perform a variety of locksmith duties; install, repair, and replace locks on doors.
- Inspect, service, and maintain operational functionality of doors and windows.
- Basic ability to read, interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, or oral instruction on a variety of structures.
- Assist with moving loading, unloading and storing supplies, furniture and equipment.
- Occasional adjustment of hours and/or weekend work may be required and/or occasional overtime.
- Communicate effectively in a professional, tactful, and courteous manner with fellow employees, and the general public.
- Performs other miscellaneous work-related duties as assigned.
- Skill in using a personal computer and various software applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:
- Facility maintenance or similar mechanical experience.
- MUST be comfortable and experienced utilizing hand and power tools of all varieties.
- MUST have basic knowledge and safety understanding of electrical components.
- MUST wear correct job specific PPE as designated by company policy.
- MUST know how to accurately use and read a tape measure as well as industrial blueprints.
- MUST be able to pass required physical including demonstrating your ability to lift the required weight for each position.
- MUST be able to stand and/or walk for entire 8-hour shift.
- Ability to consistently practice and enforce safe working habits.
- Ability to recognize safety risks and comply with all safety standards.
- Ability to operate a forklift, scissors lift, or any other powered equipment or machinery as needed.
- Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner with all plant employees, as well as third party vendors and contractors.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Three years of working experience in facilities maintenance, including knowledge in electrical and HVAC.
- Higher education in carpentry, HVAC, electrical work, or related fields.
