Your Tasks

Role Purpose:

In close partnership with Associated Innovation Director of Brand Leadership Unit (BLU) Asia Hub, help to define, lead and deliver the brand strategy and innovation pipelines for the NIVEA Asia Region, in particular to China, to maximize business growth in line with overall global and regional business strategies.

Your Tasks

The position reports directly to the Associated Innovation Director BLU Asia Hub and is responsible for:

  • Support the strategic and conceptual advancement of NIVEA`s product portfolio in Asia (focus on Greater China), for the assigned categories
  • Facilitate the implementation of aligned category strategy and innovations of NIVEA Asia portfolio within the Pre-IIM and IIM development process:
    • Responsible for creating and implementing Category Innovation strategy & pipeline for the assigned categories in Asia (from short- to long-term planning)
    • Marketing Lead in IIM core team for Asia Specific Innovation projects to make sure impactful launch with local relevancy and on-time
    • Maximize and realization of Global pipeline, actively bridge – within limitations and where possible between global and countries to ensure roll out impactfully in region.
    • Being Asian consumer expert, with in-depth consumers, market, competitor understanding as well as regulatory challenges & requirements in Asia region to feeding information to global marketing team/R&D team to maximize innovation opportunity in region.
  • Continuous exchange with Marketing colleagues in the Region and their adjoining functions
    • Monitor consumer needs, trends, ingredients, understand needs of professional target groups, as well as monitoring competition
    • Responsible for launch controls/trackers to guide and influence local market decisions
    • To ensure and foster collaboration, information and best practice sharing among BLU and Asia and rest of world countries
    • Participation in regular strategy and pipeline meetings with Asia stakeholders

Your Profile

  • University degree
  • 5 years of working experience in marketing and in Asia market (internation companies, regional role will be advantage), ideally with experience in innovation development.
  • Team player who has experience working in cross-functional, international, dynamic & diverse teams. International mindset and intercultural competence
  • Excellent in project management with ability to manage high complexity & to work in dynamic, changing environment.
  • Very good conceptual and analytical skills. Confident communicator with strong written and oral presentation skills
  • Convincing personality, strong influencing skills, able to lead and motivate stakeholders.
  • High level of resilience and assertiveness. Self-motivated, proactive working style, positive mind set and can-do attitude.
  • Fluency in English both spoken and written. Mandarin speaking, reading, writing are a must.
