Job Description
Position Summary:

The Administrative Assistant – Human Resources provides essential operational and clerical support to the HR department, ensuring the seamless execution of people-related processes.



Posted Salary Range:
USD $18.00 - USD $20.00 /Hr.

Wage Commensuration:
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Under direct supervision of the Vice President of Human Resources, provides administrative support to various functional areas within the Human Resources Department.

  • Provides administrative support for HR projects as requested. Processes confidential reports; researches and gathers data; prepares and maintains related statistical information.
  • Processes FMLA paperwork and gathers the appropriate documentation.
  • Processes bi-weekly payroll and processes Accounts Payable. Performs general clerical functions including making photocopies, scanning documents, sending faxes, etc.
  • Maintains I-9 forms and ensures proper documentation. Performs monthly audits to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Maintains and creates HR files for new hires. Provides orientation to newly hired staff at corporate office.
  • Processes all terminations, change of status and other payroll related processes.


Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Ideal candidate must be a skilled communicator, director and motivator.
  • Able to organize and prioritize many tasks effectively.
  • Two years of experience as HR Assistant/Generalist, preferably in a healthcare setting, or any equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of fundamental HR concepts, principles, practices, procedures and generally accepted employment practices.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality
  • Must have demonstrated superior computer skills (MS Word, Excel)
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and listening skills are required to work effectively with various levels of employees and management staff
  • Demonstrated experience with being detail oriented, highly organized and excellent follow up skills are required
