We are looking for part-time caregivers on 2nd shift (2 pm- 10 pm) and part-time caregivers for 3rd shift (10 pm - 6 am).
Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Caregiver/Nurse Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support residents with daily living activities while promoting dignity, independence, and a comfortable, home-like environment. You will play a key role in enhancing residents’ quality of life through personal care, engagement, and attentive service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) while encouraging independence
- Assist with medication administration, treatments, and care plans as directed
- Support meal service, including preparation, serving, and clean-up
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors
- Perform housekeeping and laundry services as needed
- Observe and report changes in resident condition, behavior, or needs
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and healthcare providers
- Assist with resident move-ins, transitions, and orientation to the community
- Participate in and support social and recreational activities
- Follow all infection control, safety, and emergency procedures
- Complete documentation and maintain accurate resident records
- Support new staff with orientation and training as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Compassion for and commitment to working with older adults
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Dependable with good attendance and time management
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 30 lbs regularly
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- At least one year of experience working with older adults preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain)
