    What You'll Do

    • Provide instruction and support for students receiving special education services
    • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
    • Conducts assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify student needs
    • Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive classroom practices
    • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction to support growth
    • Build strong relationships with students and families
    • Communicate regularly with families and team members
    • Contribute to a positive, supportive and inclusive school culture

    • Understanding of data systems and progress monitoring

    Work is performed in a standard school environment.

    Licensure / Endorsement Requirements

    Preferred candidates will hold one or more of the following Iowa special education endorsements:

    • K - 8 Instructional Strategist II: ID - 264 - preferred
    • Other special education endorsements
    • K - 6 Elementary Classroom Teacher - 102
    • 5 - 12 Endorsements
    • K - 8 Endorsements

    Candidates who are eligible for licensure or are currently completing an approved teacher preparation program are encouraged to apply.
